Committed Member an Inspiration
Member of the Month rewards the achievements of leisure members across Lincs Inspire.
March sees a long-standing member from Immingham recognised for the commitment he shows and inspiration he gives to others.
A healthy habit...
Neil Hogarth has been a member of Immingham Swimming Pool for almost 15 years.
Neil has Cerebral Palsy which effects his calf muscles. His health deteriorated when he stopped work to care for his daughter after complications at her birth.
Doctors advised Neil to keep active and busy to stop his muscles tightening and this was when the gym became an important part of Neil’s life.
Admitting he wasn’t initially a gym fan, Neil now works out three times a week, as well as swimming and practicing yoga. He’s also a role model for his children who are always swimming.
The staff are absolutely spot on! I come here for the fitness but also for a chat and catch up with everyone. The other members are supportive and we all have a good laugh.
Neil Hogarth, March’s Member of the Month!
Exercise is Medicine
All our gyms are welcoming and inclusive.
Lincs Inspire’s Active Forever referral programme is designed to encourage those with medical conditions to take the first steps into exercise to aid their physical and mental wellbeing.
After the initial 12-week programme, members are encouraged to continue their healthy lifestyle with continued encouragement and support from our fitness teams.
