Member of the Month
Inspiring member loses five stone in less than a year, as part of a “life-changing” transformation
In less than a year, Harry Andrew (36) has lost five stone, quit smoking, and is feeling happier and more confident in himself. His dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed, and he’s much-deservedly awarded Member of the Month.
Harry joined us at Immingham last June, following a promise that he’d made to his late nanna to improve his own health, after seeing her sadly pass away of lung cancer earlier that year.
Since then, he’s swapped the cigarettes for a newfound love of fitness and is determined to keep to his promise.
Harry’s new routine sees him aim to walk ten thousand steps per day, combined with gym and swimming workouts five days a week. He’s also showing great willpower by eating a cleaner and more nutritious diet, with plenty of colour on his plate at mealtime.
Joining here has literally changed my life! I’m feeling happier, more energised and confident. Since the weight loss, people I haven’t seen in a while don’t recognise me! I’m buying cheap clothes at the minute because each month I keep needing a new wardrobe! Big thanks to all the team at Lincs Inspire and to my Personal Trainer Jack
Harry
Every week Harry weighs in on the BMI scales at reception. All the hard work is paying as the results are showing.
Gym Instructor Billy Halmagyi and Fitness Supervisor Ash Charles have been supporting Harry on his fitness journey, and Operations Officer Darren Smith nominated him for Member of the Month.
Ash said: “Harry’s story is inspirational – he’s shown great discipline and determination, and he’s shown what’s possible when you put your mind to it. He’s a great character to have around and we’re lucky to have such members. Well done Harry!”
Harry’s next goal is to complete his first overseas Tough Mudder in Berlin on 19th July, which he’ll be doing in support of Cancer Research UK.
Massive well done to Harry from all the team at Lincs Inspire!
