Nunsthorpe School Photograph Exhibition

Event Description

Over 400 images depicting life at Nunsthorpe School, Grimsby, between the 1930s and 1950s, goes on display at Grimsby Central Library throughout May.

This is the first time that the vast collection of images taken from both negatives and prints has been shown after they were donated to Lincs Inspire Local History Library in 2022 by the Garden City Reminiscence group.

They show school life, sports day, Rose Queen ceremonies, school open days and the more formal class group photos. All the photos were most likely taken by one of the teachers, Mr Harold Hillam.

A special Memory Lane group will be held on June 5th at Grimsby Library focused on the collection. More information.
