Library FAQs
Our four libraries offer something for everyone in the area to help with work, leisure and study. If you have a particular query, before contacting us, please view the Frequently Asked Questions below to see if they can help.
You can join the library at any age and membership is free. Come to any of our libraries, show some identification that includes your address and signature and you will receive a ticket.
Alternatively, you can register online allowing you access to all our online services instantly.
Simply login to the eLibrary with your library account number.
Or alternatively download the Libby App from the Google Play or App Store.
You can borrow a combination of up to 20 books and music scores, 7 DVDs or videos, 10 CDs, 20 Audiobooks.
Books, music scores, talking books and playaways are loaned for 3 weeks.
CDs and DVDs are loaned for 1 week.
All items can be renewed for a further loan period (providing nobody else is waiting for the item) online by logging into your online account, by calling any of our branches or via our library App. If you want to renew online, you will first need to come into your local library branch to get a pin number. Charges will be made for all items returned late (some exemptions apply).
