Published Poet Performs
Cleethorpes born poet, Antony Dunn, leads a creative writing workshop in his hometown on Thursday, 28 September at Cleethorpes Library.
Workshop & Open Mic
Now living in Leeds, Antony has published four collections of poetry, most recently Take This One to Bed – one of ten books by writers from the North of England featured in New Writing North’s Read Regional 2018 programme.
Antony will be sharing his knowledge and experiences of writing with local writers during the afternoon workshop and will encourage individuals to create their own work.
Antony will then host an Open Mic night, on the same evening at the library, performing his work before inviting those who attended the workshop to take to the stage.
The evening takes place is a relaxed café-style setting and is open to anyone who would like to listen and support local writers, along with those who would like to perform themselves.

- The workshop costs £3 per person from 2pm to 5pm. Book online.
- The Open Mic evening from 7:30pm is also £3 per person, tickets available on the evening from the library.
Antony is visiting the library as part of a series of creative events in the Albert Room, Cleethorpes, programmed over three years with Arts Council funding.
More About Antony Dunn
Along with his published works, Antony has been a Poet in Residence at Ilkley Literature Festival in 2010, at the University of York and the People Powered Press. He has worked on a number of translation projects with poets from Holland, Hungary, China and Israel, and was for several years Artistic Director of Bridlington Poetry Festival.
