“This exhibition will chart the history of Old Clee from Saxon times until the early years of the 21st century. Visitors will have a chance to find out more about Old Clee Church, the National School, and the picturesque 19th century cottages that give the village so much of its character. The display will also shed light on some of the interesting characters connected with the area, including an Edwardian lady who was arrested for shouting and brawling, the waggoner who served with the Machine Gun Corps in the First World War, and the teenager who lost his life on HMS Hood.”
