World Mental Health Day at Cleethorpes Library

Cleethorpes Library opens its’ doors for a free wellbeing morning on World Mental Health Day.

Fancy trying something new that is good for body and mind? Cleethorpes Library invites you for a free morning of Wellbeing Chapter taster sessions on Saturday 10th October

This is a chance to try three of the library’s much-loved weekly activities in a relaxed, welcoming setting. They are all part of The Wellbeing Chapter, a project funded by Arts Council England and run by Lincs Inspire Libraries across North East Lincolnshire. There is no experience needed and no pressure. Just come as you are!

Here’s what you can expect:

Mindfulness – A gentle guided practice that can help people develop tools to calm the mind and manage stress.

Rhythm and Resistance – An easy-to-follow movement session set to music, designed to be accessible and suitable for all abilities.

Singing for Wellbeing – An uplifting group activity that uses singing to support mood, confidence and social connection.

“We know that walking into something new for the first time can feel a bit nerve-wracking, so we’ve made this morning as easy and friendly as possible. You do not need to book, bring anything, or know anyone. Just pop in, say hello and give it go. We’d love to see you!”

Claire Newton, Libraries Wellbeing Coordinator

Everyone is welcome, whatever your age or background. If you’ve been feeling a bit low, lonely, lacking in confidence or you’re living with a health condition, these sessions can be a lovely, gentle first step towards feeling more active and connected.

More than just a library

The Wellbeing Chapter runs across Lincs Inspire Libraries, helping people feel happier and healthier through creativity, movement, reading and good old-fashioned community spirit.

If you enjoy the morning, there’s plenty more to explore, including weekly Cha Cha Chair sessions, monthly Local History Walks and regular free Health Checks.

Come and join us.
